Audrey Daley

Audrey Daley is a founder member of the group, and a favourite with members and audiences. She is a star lady. Audrey has taken part in most of the productions over the last thirty years, both acting, producing and directing. She is also a member of Settle Amateur Operatics.

Margaret Barker

Margaret Barker - founder member with Audrey. Has also starred and produced many of the productions. She is Treasurer for the group and is our expert at stage production.

Barbara Rigby

Barbara Rigby - Member since 1978. First appeared with Take One as a member of the cast in Noel Coward's "Blythe Spirit". Artist extraordinaire - Barbara has been responsible for the beautiful scenery on stage. Her back cloths are outstanding - well we think so - we hope you do too.

Pauline Harrison

Pauline Harrison - Founder member of Take One. Again, a great favourite with audiences. Pauline is one talented lady. Pauline has starred and produced plays and pantomimes also and had been a member of Settle Amateur Dramatics before helping to form Take One.

Bess Morris

Bess Morris - so missed. She was a wonderful, warm lady and wrote and produced many productions. Sadly, Bess passed away in 1995, she is fondly remembered by many of our members.

Michael Day

Michael is also a founder member and is involved with productions and workshops to the present day. Michael has starred in many plays and pantomimes and produced a few too. He has been a dwarf in our 'Snow White' pantomime a record three times; playing 'Sneezy' twice (1985 & 1996) and 'Grumpy' in 2007.

Graeme Lawson

Graeme has been a member since 1978. He was also a member of Settle Amateur Dramatics before being invited by Take One to join them. He has starred in many plays and pantomimes since 1978 although less so since the late nineties. Graeme did take part in the Anniversary production in 2006, donning the green tights once more when he took to the stage as Liesl. Graeme has a long family connection with Settle's Victoria Hall/Theatre. His father, Charlie Lawson was a member of Settle Amateur Operatics since the 1920's. His wife, Wendy joined Take One in 1994 and has been Chairman of Take One twice, is currently Secretary, and their son Will made his debut on the stage in 2006 as the White mouse in 'The Tinderbox'.

Wendy was invited to join Take One by Barbara Rigby and Bess Morris in 1994. Barbara and Bess came for lunch to Wendy's pub/restaurant (at the time) and tentatively asked, "Would you like to be in our pantomime - we're short of a princess?". Wendy was only too happy to be involved as she had not been able to take part in any plays since school, so felt it was a fantastic opportunity. Through Take One, she has gained the most wonderful friend in Barbara, a husband, son, a fantastic family of friends. She has been Chairperson twice and is currently joint Secretary and web administrator for the group.

Eric Parker

Eric was also asked by Barbara to join in 1994. His first role was as a menacing waiter in 'The Great Dragon of Silliog'. Since then he has been Chairman of the group, produced plays and pantomimes and starred in many. In 2007 he teamed up with Graham Jarvis to play Walter and Wilfie once more. Take One's very own 'Ant and Dec' or 'Eric and Ernie'......
